Vanarai’s relentless efforts since the last 21 years has been even towards sensitizing the youth from an early age. Through Eco-club, Vanarai engages school students in environmental education, encouraging them to understand, appreciate, and actively participate in conservation efforts, nurturing a sense of responsibility towards their surroundings and create an environment sensitized new generation.
Vanarai collaborates with 250 schools in Pune, encompassing over 80,000 students annually, as an integral part of our Eco Club program. This initiative is designed to promote environmental education and awareness, with a focus on fostering sustainability and ecological consciousness within school communities. Our approach recognizes the significant role that teachers play in shaping young minds and nurturing environmental stewardship. To empower and sensitize educators, Vanarai conducts comprehensive teacher training programs. These programs equip teachers with the knowledge, tools, and innovative teaching methodologies necessary to instil a deep appreciation for the environment among their students. Eco-club activities vary that involves engaging students in sustainable practices like plantation, energy conservation, waste management, water efficiency and much more. Moreover, there are drawing competitions, elocutions, cultural programs under the theme of environmental sustainability to trigger their creative mind and leave a lasting impact
